The Goodland Church of Christ 

would like to invite you to attend the fourth annual Tri-State Healthy Churches Workshop. Each year our purpose of the workshop is to strengthen and edify the churches in Northwest Kansas, Southwest Nebraska, and Eastern Colorado.

This year we are focusing on the Loving one another and would like to invite you to join us. Listed on the left is the schedule for the workshop.  Please note that this year we will be offering child care services during the workshop so keep reading for more information.

Speakers

Wes McAdams will bring the lesson entitled "Love the People of God" at 10:00 a.m.

Wes spent his middle school and high school years in Northwest Kansas, graduating from Colby High School in 2001. He now serves as the Preaching Minister for the church of Christ on McDermott Road in Plano, Texas. He and his wife, Hollee, have two sons, Malachi and Noah. Wes has served congregations in Midland, Texas; Leachville, Arkansas, Hot Springs, Arkansas; and Abilene, Texas. He is a graduate of Amridge University. He has authored a couple of books, including the most recent, Beyond the Verse. His podcast and blog can be found at RadicallyChristian.com.

Jay Kelley will bring the lesson entitled "Love the church of God" at 1:45 p.m.

Jay Kelley has been the evangelist for the Austin Street Church of Christ in Levelland, Texas for 12 years. He lived in Colby, KS for 10 years, working with the church there and helping when possible in the churches of NW Kansas. He is a graduate of Great Bend High School and Colby Community College as well as Sunset International Bible Institute and Amridge University. Jay has also taught at the Athens, Greece International Bible Institute periodically over the last 12 years.

Mark Faber will bring the lesson entitled "Love God" to start us off in the morning at 9:00 a.m.

Mark preaches at the Oakley Church of Christ and has been doing so since January of 2020.  He is currently in his last year at Fort Hays State University and will be attending medical school in the upcoming years. He is the third son of Josh and Ronda Faber and is from Colby Kansas. This will be Mark's first workshop as a speaker, but he has attended the workshop several times.

Brent Flanders will be one of our presenters. His topic will be "One in the One" from John 17:22-23.

Brent is the minister for the Church of Christ in Goodland, KS. He is married to Diana and they have two grown children - Paul and wife Tess and Sarah and husband Andrew Starns - who have given them six beautiful grandchildren.

Ned Cooper will be leading the topic of "Loving the Creation of God" at 2:45 p.m. 

Ned is new to workshop speaking and this will be his first. He has been married to his wife, Neva, since 1997 and moved to North Platte in 1999 to preach at the church on Walker Road. He also serves as an on-call chaplain at the hospital. He left for a short time in 2006 for further education and returned in 2007.  Ned has two sons and eight grandchildren.
