The Goodland Church of Christ 

would like to invite you to attend the third annual Tri-State Healthy Churches Workshop. Each year our purpose of the workshop is to strengthen and edify the churches in Northwest Kansas, Southwest Nebraska, and Eastern Colorado.  

This year we are focusing on the unity of the body of Christ and would like to invite you to join us. Listed on the left is the schedule for the workshop while below is a detailed list of classes offered for each breakout session.  Please note that this year we will be offering child care services during the workshop so keep reading for more information.

After choosing which sessions to attend during the breakout times, we encourage all to register for this workshop by clicking the “Register” button.

Wes McAdams will be our first Keynote with a lesson entitled "The Power of Unity" from Ephesians 1:3-10

Wes spent his middle school and high school years in Northwest Kansas, graduating from Colby High School in 2001. He now serves as the Preaching Minister for the church of Christ on McDermott Road in Plano, Texas. He and his wife, Hollee, have two sons, Malachi and Noah. Wes has served congregations in Midland, Texas; Leachville, Arkansas, Hot Springs, Arkansas; and Abilene, Texas. He is a graduate of Amridge University. He has authored a couple of books, including the most recent, Beyond the Verse. His podcast and blog can be found at RadicallyChristian.com.

Jay Kelley will be one of our presenters during the breakout sessions. His topic will be "Unity in Purpose" and will look at the unity of effort between churches in the First Century

Jay Kelley has been the evangelist for the Austin Street Church of Christ in Levelland, Texas for 12 years. He lived in Colby, KS for 10 years, working with the church there and helping when possible in the churches of NW Kansas. He is a graduate of Great Bend High School and Colby Community College as well as Sunset International Bible Institute and Amridge University. Jay has also taught at the Athens, Greece International Bible Institute periodically over the last 12 years.

Greg Smith will be one of our presenters during the breakout sessions. His topic will be "Healthy Churches; What's Your Unity Temperature?" from Ephesians 4:1-13

Greg is the pulpit minister at the Tri-Lakes Church of Christ in Monument, CO, approximately 20 minutes North of Colorado Springs.
Greg and his wife Trish were both born and raised in Holly, CO. Both of their families were involved with farming and ranching. They became high school sweethearts, were married in October of 1983 and are the proud parents of three grown sons.
Greg graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a B.S. degree to teach science and coach. Greg was led to full time ministry when he became involved in preaching and teaching at the correctional facility in Burlington CO. He ministered in Burlington, CO for 8 years as pulpit minister, youth minister, and preaching minister at the prison. The Smith’s moved to Monument, CO in July of 2008 when Greg became the pulpit minister at the Tri-Lakes church of Christ.

Brent Flanders will be one of our presenters. His topic will be "One in the One" from John 17:22-23.

Brent is the minister for the Church of Christ in Goodland, KS. He is married to Diana and they have two grown children - Paul and wife Tess and Sarah and husband Andrew Starns - who have given them six beautiful grandchildren.

John Reeves will be a speaker during one of the breakout sessions on "Understanding Covenant."

John is an evangelist/minister for the Flagler church of Christ in Flagler, Colorado. He is a graduate of the Sunset International Bible Institute and has an M.S. in Bible from Lubbock Christian University. His first wife, Shannon, passed from cancer after 15 years of marriage. They had two children: Caitlin is currently in Adventures in Missions (AIM) at SIBI and Connor will enter into the Air Force after graduating from high school this year. He remarried 13 years ago. He and Crystal (AIM 2000) have three children: Christian, Caity and Canaan. 
He likes to whittle, hang with his dog, talk, attempt humor, shoot guns, exercise, and write. John also writes - www.thelordshumbled.com.
